I just did the single most idiotic thing I’ve ever done, and that is considering a lifetime of stupidity. I was pulling out of my bank and for some idiotic reason, I just thought I should be on the left side of the road, as though I were in Merry Olde England.
I stopped at a stop light and then noticed that cars were coming toward me in that lane (at a very safe distance). Then I realized what I’d done, nearly had a stroke, looked around for my best exit strategy, and ran the red light (across an empty intersection, mind you). It was awful.
